#147 Follow Your Heart?

I am writing this blog for one reason: to share another online article that I believe is both profound and extremely relevant in our radically individualistic society where a “cult of self” thrives. The term “cult of self” is used in the article, popular hashtags are explained, a balanced perspective is given, and a call to a much higher and more important kind of life is issued.

I think that if Christians are not careful, we can easily succumb and adopt certain sayings and mindsets that are anti-Christian. To say this differently, we sometimes don’t realize that the cultural waters in which we live and swim are seeping into our mind, shaping our thoughts, and thereby determining who we are, how we live, and what we value.

Click here to read the article titled, “Don’t Follow Your Heart” by Thaddeus J. Williams. It is published by what is one of the most helpful online sources available for Christians who want to live not only with their heart and hands but also their head/minds (The Worldview Bulletin). A mature Christian should live with the heart, head, and hands.
