I think that the relationship between apologetics and the role of the Holy Spirit in people coming to faith is interesting. In my view, Christians can go wrong in their thinking by falling into one of two ditches:
- Ignoring the role of the Holy Spirit and putting too much emphasis and trust in our ability to reason people into the Kingdom of God
- Ignoring the role of reason and apologetics, failing to see that the Holy Spirit does not work in a vacuum but uses our feeble attempts to partner with him in the lives of others
